Families in the canyon neighborhoods along Ortega Highway (SR-74), and in the newer Rancho Mission Viejo villages farther east, usually join the I-5 at Ortega and head north two exits.
San Juan Capistrano's depot serves Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink trains. If you are riding from there, you can board your cat with us on the way; the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink station on our own street is another option for northbound trips.

San Juan Capistrano gets busy during events downtown and on summer weekends, so Camino Capistrano can slow near the Mission. If you are heading out on a Saturday, arriving close to our 9 AM opening avoids most of that. Families in the Rancho Mission Viejo villages often combine drop-off with errands near Crown Valley Parkway. However you arrive, bring your cat in a secure carrier, with its vaccination records, food and any medications in labeled containers.
