Laguna Beach does not have much room for a dedicated cat hotel, so many 92651 households board with us in neighboring Laguna Niguel. From downtown our routing check shows about 10 miles and 17 minutes: up Laguna Canyon Road (SR-133), onto the SR-73 toll road briefly, then Crown Valley Parkway to Forbes Road.
From South Laguna and Three Arch Bay, some drivers prefer heading up Crown Valley from Pacific Coast Highway instead of the canyon. Either way, you arrive at a building that holds cats and nothing else.
Laguna Canyon Road can crawl on summer evenings and festival weekends. If you are boarding your cat in July or August, a weekday morning drop-off between 9 and noon usually avoids the worst of it.
Hillside homes in Top of the World, Bluebird Canyon and North Laguna are often quiet, and cats raised there can be startled by noise. Our suites are private, housekeeping happens daily, and staff give every guest play time in one of three large pens. Birds outside the aviary windows keep watchers entertained.
North Laguna and the Canyon Acres area are closest to Laguna Canyon Road, so the canyon route makes sense from there. Residents of Arch Beach Heights and Top of the World sometimes find Park Avenue down to the canyon quicker than cutting through downtown. From Victoria Beach and South Laguna, Pacific Coast Highway south to Crown Valley Parkway avoids the canyon altogether. Whichever way you come, the last leg is the same: Crown Valley Parkway inland to Forbes Road, where there is parking for drop-off.
For most of town, Laguna Canyon Road to the SR-73 toll road and then Crown Valley Parkway, about 17 minutes in light traffic. From South Laguna, Crown Valley Parkway from PCH can be just as quick.
