From the center of 92629 our routing check followed Del Obispo Street and Stonehill Drive to the I-5 north — about 9 miles and 15 minutes without traffic.

Monarch Beach and the north side of town
If you live up the hill toward Monarch Beach or along Niguel Road, Crown Valley Parkway may beat the freeway, especially on summer weekends when PCH traffic backs up near the beaches.

Getting here from each part of Dana Point
From Capistrano Beach and the Doheny area, Del Obispo Street or Stonehill Drive onto the I-5 north is usually fastest. From the Lantern District, Golden Lantern Street to the freeway or to Crown Valley Parkway both work. From Monarch Beach and the Ritz Pointe and Niguel Road areas, Crown Valley Parkway inland is direct and avoids freeway merges. All three routes end on Forbes Road beside the I-5, with parking at the hotel.
