We will be honest: from Newport Beach we are not around the corner. Our routing check from central Newport followed Jamboree Road and Bonita Canyon Drive to the SR-73 toll road south, then Crown Valley Parkway — about 18 miles and 29 minutes with clear roads. From Newport Coast and Corona del Mar the SR-73 on-ramps are closer, which trims the trip.
Owners make that drive because we board only cats. There is no barking, no shared dog runs, and staff who have focused on cats since 1993.
SNA sits right next to Newport Beach. If you are heading out on a long trip, dropping off with us the day before your flight — rather than the morning of — keeps departure day calm. Our routing check puts the airport about 23 minutes from our door.
Cats from Balboa Island, Lido and the Peninsula often live in compact homes with plenty of street noise; others come from quiet homes up in the hills. Either way, a private suite with a view of our aviary birds is a calm change of pace.
From Newport Coast, the SR-73 is right at hand. From Corona del Mar, MacArthur Boulevard or Newport Coast Drive both reach the toll road. From the Peninsula and Balboa Island, Jamboree Road north to Bonita Canyon Drive is the route our check used. If you would rather skip tolls, the I-405 south to the I-5 works well outside rush hour. Bring vaccination records, food and any medications labeled with instructions.
